We all know that we must protect our skin from the negative effects of the sun when sunbathing. There are certain rules to follow in order to preserve our youthful glow. Firstly, it is important to evenly apply sunscreen on the entire body and face every two hours. Secondly, as soon as you go outside, use a high factor sunscreen (at least SPF 30). Lastly, don't forget to apply sunscreen on certain areas of the body that are often neglected. like the hands, neck and tops of the feet. Also, replace your sunscreen products every year as the protective filters can degrade quickly from one year to the next.

Self-tanners contain DHA, which is an active ingredient that adds colour to the upper layer of the skin and gives it that golden hue that we all love. To give your skin a lovely tint when using self-tanners, there are certain rules to follow. Before applying the product, you must exfoliate your skin. If you don't, the product will colour the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, giving it that dreaded uneven and patchy look. Apply a small amount of product at a time in order not to turn orange. You can blend a few drops of tanning lotion with your regular day cream or body lotion for a natural-looking effect. Lastly, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Your self-tan will be more even and will last longer.

Bronzing makeup is perfect for those who want healthy-looking skin, without UV exposure. There are different formats to choose from. Tinted creams are glow boosters! Their light coverage gives a sheer sun-kissed look to your skin. Bronzing powders should not be too shimmery or too orangy. When choosing the shade, match your natural complexion. Use a brush to apply bronzing powder where the sun normally hits your face: the apples of the cheeks, nose and chin. And last but not least, there are highlighters. Their revitalizing effect on the complexion bring a touch of light to the face and enhance your tan. Apply highlighter on the bridge of the nose, cheekbones and Cupid's bow.
